I know that people like to see mirror matches to see which team is more skilled, but does that really apply to rawrspike?
Would you like to see the most boring gimmick in the game play against another copy of the most boring gimmick in the game? From a spectator perspective, hell no. Regardless of how unskilled sinsplit was, I generally enjoyed watching it play just to see how people reacted to it. There are always going to be build advantages and disadvantages, but the fun part of this game is seeing how teams try to capitalize or overcome them.
Rawr beat a boring gimmick build with a fun gimmick build, and not only did it benefit them, but the observers as well. Smart decision on both ends.

the match on the frozen wasnt rly boring, very soon things were dying all over the place, after all :]
from my point of view, i dont like watching how rock wins vs scissors cuz i know it will win (if one knows the outcome i see no point in wasting time observing the futile struggle performed by the team being scissors), so i usually wont even bother watching till the end, unless scissors can miraculously pull off a win.
as for sin split - having to work one's ass off for some 123 button mash is just very annoying and frustrating - to play against as well as to observe. same went for the first version of buffed palm strike.
as for me, i was just disappointed and busy face palming at the finals, along with all other pandas in the world!
*wink at chop chop*

The -45 they gave us in Swiss rounds was a humbling experience from which we'll try and grow.
GG's all, hope to see you next month

Yes, thanks Asp, I know 'bout Shat. That's why I put new in the single quotes like so

They haven't featured anywhere the last couple of months, like they did this month, hence the 'new'. Thanks again and you guys sure pulled a trick this month.
GG and I will be watching next month!

I dont see how you could say nH choked. Had [Shat] ran [land]s counter to [nH]build in the finals i dont think even you guys could have pulled out a victory. Or maybe you would, i dont f'n know, but their match was clearly buildwars.

Thats impressive that Shat spiked rawr down on US servers, its such a massive advantage to get home servers.

Maybe something has changed? At least with our guild every match took place on American servers, against the three Euro guilds we faced....First time this has happened since I can recall.

I disagree - you get zero points for KMD as they were more than 3 places away "1 point if they are off by 3 positions but still made the top 8" - In this case 3rd to 7th = 4 places away (I had 4 guilds like this this time around >.<).

that doesn't matter. If you predicted a team to finish 1st but they place 8th you still get 1 point. It is three or more as long as they place in the top 8. If you placed them 8th and they get 9th, you get 0. If they make top 8 and you had them anywhere in the top 8, you get at least 1 point.
